We were drawn to the regal color combinations of the Wood Duck, one of North America's most colorful waterfowl. Also known as the Carolina Duck, we are totally enamored with this species of perching duck, as it lends itself perfectly to be worked in glass.
Our Wood Duck is fixed to presumed he is in the process of taking flight from among the cattails, as he might actually do in his natural habit of wooded swamps, marshes, streams and small lakes. They prefer to stick to wet areas with trees, or extensive cattails, so your creation limits are really broad with this one!
