The phrase "when pigs fly" is an adynaton—a figure of speech so hyperbolic that it describes an impossibility. The implication of such a phrase is that the circumstances in question (the adynaton, and the circumstances to which the adynaton is being applied) will never occur. -source credit
Our creation was inspired by a fella that constantly used the phrase "when pigs fly", no matter what you said. It was hyper annoying, and I set out to make him stop. :) Now, pigs really do fly, and watching one do it will keep a smile on your face the entire time!
